Fractional Reserve Banking - A.K.A. COUNTERFEITING
Your bank is a counterfeiter, as facilitated by the Federal Reserve System and permitted by the government that allegedly represents you.
The lie of fractional reserve banking is at the heart of our ‘banking' system. And its acceptance as fact or necessity by the world's populace is the basis on which most other economic lies and myths gain so much credibility.
To understand why we're in so much trouble right now, and why the privately owned Federal Reserve Banks are to blame, one must understand fractional reserve banking, and why it amounts to little more than counterfeiting.
King Edward II, Goldsmiths and
"Legal" Counterfeiting
For all of history through the 1800s, goldsmiths were the world's primary bankers. It made sense in those hard money days to keep your gold with the fellow who molded it into coins and acted as the community's central cash register.
So here we have the goldsmiths...guardians of bullion and protectors of everyone's wealth. I've personally always seen this as the primary function of a bank.
But just guarding money and issuing certificates for it...I suppose it just didn't pay as well as it could. That and you always end up with a huge pile of cash (gold) that's just sitting around and not really doing anything other than backing promissory notes. So the goldsmiths got crafty, and at this point they became the bankers we know today.
They started issuing more certificates than they could back in gold, allowing them to collect interest on the physical gold collecting dust in their shop...gold that already belonged to someone else. But weren't there already certificates attached to that gold? Of course. But the bankers believed those certificates wouldn't all be cashed in at the exact same time, so they could get by and no one would ever be the wiser.
This is the critical point in our story, and at few points in history has the difference between right and wrong been so very clear.
The value of goldsmith's notes was in the gold behind them. So when they issue a new note backed by...well backed by nothing other than the supposition that they'd have enough inventory to pay it off if it fell through...they were engaging in wishful thinking, at best. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you irrational exuberance. At the very core of our banking system.
But how could the goldsmiths get away with such blatant counterfeiting? Didn't anyone realize that they were pulling wealth from thin air, that they were trading worthless notes for valuable goods? Well, the governments knew. Why didn't they do anything to stop the goldsmiths?
Put clearly; it wasn't in the interest of the world's ruling monarchs to stop them. King Charles II of England had his own con game going with the bankers...one where they traded him physical gold for sticks of wood (I'm not kidding at all...we'll be covering government debt next week.)
So by complying with the government's con games and ponzi schemes, the goldsmiths earned themselves a back-scratching from the world's monarchs, received in the form of Fractional Reserve Banking.
The Whole World Falling for the Same Tricks...500 years later
And so we arrive at the modern-day. The Dollar is the world's reserve currency, making us in some sense the world's goldsmith. And we have a Federal Reserve System - composed of privately owned member banks - that represents how cloudy and convoluted the relationship between governments and banks has become in the last half-millennium.
But somehow, the world economy keeps falling for the same scam.
You see, the Federal Reserve controls not only the interest rate at which banks are allowed to lend, but the fractional reserve ratios they're required to keep (as a percentage of their reserves).
Let's backpedal for a second here...make it even simpler. An institution composed of banks and their representatives is in control of not only our money supply, but the amount of new money (in the form of loans issued) that banks are allowed to ‘counterfeit' and the interest they're required to charge on those conjured-from-nowhere dollars.
Interest rates - when the decision is left to the borrower and the lender - represent the time preferences and assumed risk of borrower and lender. Like the price of any other good, the interest rate of a loan ideally represents a compromise for both parties in terms of time and risk.
But when the government intervenes with a mandated interest rate (like Greenspan's sub-zero "liquidity experiment") those decisions to lend and borrow are often made with little or no consideration to time and risk. Since the money is cheap, free, or the government might even be paying you to take it, incentives are changed across the board.
And then fractional reserve banking comes in. Since the banks only have to keep a percentage of their reserves - a ratio set by an institution they own...making them essentially self-governing - these ridiculously low interest rates spur the banks into a lending frenzy.
Lending to and from each other, commercial interests and private parties, the banks go hog-wild. Without the restraint of reasonable lending costs, they lend as much credit against your money as humanly possible, flooding the economy with fresh dollars that never existed before.
Euphoria takes over. Of course housing prices will continue to go up when the pool of dollars chasing those houses is growing so rapidly...that's just common sense. But many of us bought into it, in some way or another. And that's what makes the coming correction so painful.

Ever wonder why the government dropped it a few years ago?
Because of the one-two punch of mandated interest rates and fractional reserve banking, an epic amount of bad business decisions are inevitably made. That's a simple truth of economics...no matter who tries to ignore it.
But what can I do?
Well, it's pretty easy actually. Just don't believe all the hype, take everything with a grain of salt, and make your own decisions. I'm not telling you to protest at your local federal reserve bank, I'm just saying you should use reason and that you shouldn't take most things at face value.
Like when the keepers of our national pocketbook - and thereby our national sovereignty - are run by the very banks they're supposed to govern, and those banks (whose original purpose was to guard the money of the people) have a balance sheet that looks like this:
You should be asking questions.
When our government gives a US$25 Billion bailout to Citigroup, and then the company's market capitalization is listed at around US$20 Billion shortly before the company is taken over...you should certainly be asking questions.
When Detroit's CEOs fly to Washington in separate luxury jets, and they beg for US$25 Billion in bailout money for companies with a combined market capitalization of less than US$10 Billion...you should be asking questions.
There's a heist going on out there...and plans are afoot. Through the careful control of information sources, those in power can control the actions of the masses. But you don't have to be a part of the masses.
To make the difference and speak out on the part of personal sovereignty.
Regardless of whether you voted for the current President. Regardless of whether or not you like or even trust our country's political and economic systems. You need to give this special information enough of your time to understand the grim situation you could be facing. Not just for your sake, but for the sake of the Sons & Daughters of America, now being laden with years and years of debt.

The Assualt on Christianity ...
I am an intellectual of high intelligence. I sometimes surround myself with other intellectuals of like mind and of opposing views... It seems most nowadays agree on the Federal Reserve being a currupt institution that is cuasign an intentional downfall of America... for the most part these are true patriots I engage in debates with from time to time...
One thing that jumps out at me in intellectual circles is the degree of atheism that abounds...
I beleive one can be both an intellectual and a believer. They often ask how can you beleive in a the bible when there is no proof of ANY OF IT other than in the bible... that is where the debate starts and I usually leave them speechless and unable to continue the debate and they realize that I can far ore prove the existence of christ than they can prove the opposite .... at this point they usually disengage form debate and still pull there on personal wall up around them that enables them to deny Christs existence...
Here are some good debate topics for you when engaged in this debate or if your reading this and are a non-beleiver read this, research, and absorb the information for yourself....

Again you have to have FAITH whether or not CHRIST is the SOn of GOd or FAITH that he is not the SON of GOD but its hard to disporve he did not exist as at least a MAN ... its just to hard to argue that CHRIST and the others that followed him did not exist ....
1.) It is important to recognize that in 70 A.D., the Romans invaded and destroyed Jerusalem and most of Israel, slaughtering its inhabitants. Entire cities were literally burned to the ground! We should not be surprised, then, if much evidence of Jesus' existence was destroyed. Many of the eye-witnesses of Jesus would have been killed. These facts likely limited the amount of surviving eyewitness testimony of Jesus.
2.) The first-century Roman Tacitus, who is considered one of the more accurate historians of the ancient world, mentioned superstitious "Christians " ("named after Christus" which is Latin for Christ), who suffered under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius. Suetonius, chief secretary to Emperor Hadrian, wrote that there was a man named Chrestus (or Christ) who lived during the first century (Annals 15.44 ).
3.) Flavius Josephus is the most famous Jewish historian. In his Antiquities he refers to James, “the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ.” There is a controversial verse (18:3) that says, "Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man. For he was one who wrought surprising feats. . . . He was [the] Christ . . . he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him." One version reads, "At this time there was a wise man named Jesus. His conduct was good and [he] was known to be virtuous. And many people from among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. But those who became his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion, and that he was alive; accordingly he was perhaps the Messiah, concerning whom the prophets have recounted wonders."
4.) Julius Africanus quotes the historian Thallus in a discussion of the darkness which followed the crucifixion of Christ (Extant Writings, 18).
5.) Pliny the Younger, in Letters 10:96, recorded early Christian worship practices including the fact that Christians worshiped Jesus as God and were very ethical, and includes a reference to the love feast and Lord’s Supper.
6.) The Babylonian Talmud (Sanhedrin 43a) confirms Jesus' crucifixion on the eve of Passover, and the accusations against Christ of practicing sorcery and encouraging Jewish apostasy.
7.)Lucian of Samosata was a second-century Greek writer who wrote that Jesus was worshiped by Christians, introduced new teachings, and was crucified for them. He said that Jesus' teachings included the brotherhood of believers, the importance of conversion, and the importance of denying other gods. Christians lived according to Jesus’ laws, believed themselves immortal, and were characterized by contempt for death, voluntary self-devotion, and renunciation of material goods.
8.)Mara Bar-Serapion wrote that Jesus was thought to be a wise and virtuous man, was considered by many to be the king of Israel, was put to death by the Jews, and lived on in the teachings of his followers.
9.) Then we have all the Gnostic writings (The Gospel of Truth, The Apocryphon of John, The Gospel of Thomas, The Treatise on Resurrection, etc.) that all mention Jesus. NOT IN BIBLE just historical writings that wer enever included in the bible
10.) In fact, we can almost reconstruct the gospel just from early non-Christian sources: Jesus was called the Christ (Josephus), did “magic,” led Israel into new teachings, and was hanged on Passover for them (Babylonian Talmud) in Judea (Tacitus), but claimed to be God and would return (Eliezar), which his followers believed - worshipping Him as God (Pliny the Younger).
11.) there is overwhelming evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ, both in secular and Biblical history. Perhaps the greatest evidence that Jesus did exist is the fact that literally thousands of Christians in the first century A.D., including the 12 apostles, were willing to give their lives as martyrs for Jesus Christ. People will die for what they believe to be true, but no one will die for what they know to be a lie.
12.) Tacitus (c. 56–c. 117), writing c. 116, included in his Annals a mention of Christianity and "Christus", the Latinized Greek translation of the Hebrew word "Messiah". In describing Nero's persecution of Christians following the Great Fire of Rome c. 64, he wrote:
Nero fastened the guilt of starting the blaze and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius 14-37 at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular.
13.) Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus (c. 69–140) wrote the following in his Lives of the Twelve Caesars about riots which broke out in the Jewish community in Rome under the emperor Claudius:
"As the Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus, he (Claudius) expelled them from Rome"
14.) Thallus, of whom very little is known, wrote a history from the Trojan War to, according to Eusebius, 109 BC. No work of Thallus survives. There is one reference to Thallus having written about events beyond 109 BC. Julius Africanus, writing c. 221, while writing about the crucifixion of Jesus, mentioned Thallus. Thus:
On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus, in his third book of History, calls (as appears to me without reason) an eclipse of the sun
15.) Lucian, a second century Romano-Syrian satirist, who wrote in Greek, wrote:
The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day — the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account… You see, these misguided creatures start with the general conviction that they are immortal for all time, which explains the contempt of death and voluntary self-devotion which are so common among them; and then it was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws
16.) Celsus wrote, about 180CE, a book against the Christians, which is now only known through Origen's refutation of it. Celsus apparently accused Jesus of being a child and a sorcerer[75] and is quoted as saying that Jesus was a "mere man".[76]
The Acts of Pilate is purportedly an official document from Pilate reporting events in Judea to the Emperor Tiberius (thus, it would have been among the commentaii principis). It was mentioned by Justin Martyr, in his First Apology (c. 150) to Antoninus Pius, Marcus Aurelius, and Lucius Verus, who said that his claims concerning Jesus' crucifixion, and some miracles, could be verified by referencing the official record, the "Acts of Pontius Pilate". With the exception of Tertullian, no other writer is known to have mentioned the work, and Tertullian's reference says that Tiberius debated the details of Jesus' life before the Roman Senate, an event that is almost universally considered absurd. There is a later apocryphal text, undoubtedly fanciful, by the same name, and though it is generally thought to have been inspired by Justin's reference (and thus to post-date his Apology), it is possible that Justin actually mentioned this text, though that would give the work an unusually early date and therefore is not a straightforward identification

UN team warns of hard landing for dollar

The current strength of the dollar is temporary and the US currency risks a hard landing in 2009, according to a team of United Nations economists who foresaw a year ago that a US downturn would bring the global economy to a near standstill.
In their annual report on the world economy published on Monday, the economists said the dollar’s sharp rebound this autumn had been driven mainly by a flight to the safety of the international reserve currency as the financial crisis spread beyond the US.
The overall trend remained a downward one, however, reflecting perceptions that the US debt position was approaching unsustainable levels. An accelerated fall of the dollar could bring new turmoil to financial markets.
“Investors might renew their flight to safety, though this time away from dollar-denominated assets, thereby forcing the US economy into a hard landing and pulling the global economy into a deeper recession,” the report said.
Publication of the annual survey by the UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs, its trade organisation Unctad and UN regional bodies, was brought forward by a month in the light of the financial crisis. It was launched in Doha to coincide with the UN-sponsored development financing conference in the Qatari capital.
The UN team said that, as the financial crisis spread beyond the US, there had been a massive shift of global financial assets into US Treasury bills, driving their yields almost to zero and pushing the dollar sharply higher. At the same time, however, the US’s external debt had risen to new heights that could provoke a dollar collapse.
The report recommends reform of the international reserve system away from almost exclusive reliance on the dollar and towards a globally backed multi-currency system.
Rob Vos, a Dutch economist who heads the UN’s policy and analysis division and who is responsible for the annual economic review, said the global economic pain could be eased if governments co-ordinated a spate of stimulus packages that were already under way.
“There has been a sea change in attitudes in favour of intervention and concerted action,” he told the Financial Times. He welcomed statements from US president-elect Barack Obama’s transition team in support of spending on infrastructure
